Leeds United named among admirers of South Korea international Lee Han-beom
Leeds United have reportedly checked on the progress of South Korea international Lee Han-beom.
The 23-year-old has already made an impression at the World Cup having helped his country defeat Czech Republic in the early hours of this morning (June 12).
A centre-back by trade, he impressed as part of a back three alongside Min-Jae Kim and Lee Gi-Hyuk.
Major international tournaments allow players to put themselves in the shop window, but Han-beom is supposedly already in it.

Leeds United ‘check on’ World Cup defender
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds are one of five Premier League clubs to have tracked his progress at club level with Danish outfit FC Midtjylland.
Since joining the club from FC Seoul in 2023, Han-Beom has lifted both the Danish Superliga and Danish Cup trophies.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United are also said to have taken a look at the defender, who has nine South Korea caps on his CV.
Scouts are said to have been left impressed by Han-beom and it remains to be seen whether any bids are sent in over the course of the summer window.
There is believed to be interest outside England too, with German outfits Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, French giants Monaco and Lyon and Italian side Napoli said to be admirers.

Lee Han-Beom’s rising stock
If South Korea move through the World Cup stages and Han-beom continues to impress, interest in his signature is likely to intensify.
However, strong performances could be a double-edged sword for interested clubs as they will most likely send his price tag skyrocketing.
Han-beom is likely to feature again on June 19, when South Korea square off with Mexico in their second group game. They will then round off the group stage with a battle against South Africa on June 25.
