Josh Allen has himself some competition in Buffalo.
No, not for the Bills' starting QB gig -- for the role of the team's top trash talker.
The Bills signed CJ Gardner-Johnson this offseason, and he's known for his on-field toughness, physicality and antics.
Earlier this week, a reporter mentioned to Gardner-Johnson that Allen had once been voted the top trash talker in the league.

Gardner-Johnson was stunned.
"Ahead of me?" he replied with a look of disbelief on his face.
Then he kept repeating, "I gotta do better."
The video of the interaction is definitely worth a watch:

The tricky part with Gardner-Johnson is that he often toes the line pretty precariously. Is he going to do something that gets his team in a pickle due to a penalty? Or is he just going to set the tone?
The Bills hope that their signing gets them a tone setter, not something messier than that.
Allen surely doesn't mind letting Gardner-Johnson do the extra talking. The QB is always going to play with some swagger and energy, but he can also keep his focus on making the next play count as Buffalo tries to chase a Super Bowl.
