Washington Commanders position coaches on changes to the roster, scheme

The Washington Commanders wrapped up their third and final week of organized team activities(OTAs), and they’ve got mandatory minicamp next week before the long break until training camp starts later next month. The team gave members of the media access to their position coaches, and special teams coordinator Larry Izzo over the last two days. They discussed the changes that have taken place since the season ended. Daronte Jones replaced Joe Whitt as defensive coordinator and David Blough was promoted to replace his former boss Kliff Kingsbury as offensive coordinator. That led to more changes on staff, with a mix of old and new coaches forming this season’s staff. There has also been some big changes to the team, with a heavy focus on fixing the defense this year.
