Caleb Williams-Micah Parsons Rivalry Still Alive Despite His Response to “Fire and Ice” Trash…

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has responded to Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons after Parsons called himself the “fire” to Williams’ “ice” during filming for the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2026 series.

Williams kept it cool, calling it good banter, but made clear the rivalry is far from over.

Caleb Williams Brushes Off Micah Parsons’ Warning, But Accepts the Challenge

Caleb Williams was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of USC. He joined the Chicago Bears straight out of the draft and has since built a reputation for elite arm talent, creativity, and poise under pressure, earning him the nickname “Iceman.” In his second season, he improved his decision-making, reduced sacks, and led the Bears to a strong 2025 campaign, including a playoff win over the Packers.

Micah Parsons, originally drafted 12th overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, is now a cornerstone for the Green Bay Packers after a blockbuster trade. A dynamic pass rusher with elite speed, strength, and versatility, Parsons has been a perennial Pro Bowler and All-Pro selection.

It was Parsons who fired the first shot. “He really sped his clock up, he wasn’t taking as many sacks, he felt confidence in the system,” Parsons said. “I always want to see people succeed, regardless of who they play for. I got something for Iceman, for sure. Where there’s ice, there’s also fire, and I’m the fire.”

Williams was not rattled. “Just funny. Obviously, it’s good jokes,” Williams said. “We’re football players on opposite teams, so it’s a little rivalry, but nothing taken to heart. He said he is fire and I’m ice, so let’s see which one holds.”

That last line is the one worth paying attention to. Williams is not backing down. He is just doing it in true Iceman fashion with a quiet confidence that the answer will come on the field.

Bears’ Possible Move to Indiana Does Nothing to Shake Williams

Reports suggest the Chicago Bears are considering a move to Indiana. On June 4, 2026, the Bears’ Board of Directors officially voted to advance their stadium development project to Hammond, Indiana.

But the relocation talk changes nothing for Williams. “I’m going to play wherever there’s 120 by 53⅓ and it’s marked up with white lines and two end zones. I’m OK with whatever,” Williams said. “Whatever decision they make is whatever decision they make. I just want some green and my teammates and coaches and another team out there. And fans.”

The deal is not yet finalized. Bears Chairman George McCaskey and CEO Kevin Warren released a joint statement framing the move as a regional win. “We believe a world-class stadium project in Hammond will transform the region, connecting Northwest Indiana to the South Side of Chicago through the Loop and across neighborhoods and suburbs stretching north of the city. It will bring Chicagoland together,” McCaskey and Warren said.

There is plenty of change in the air for the Chicago Bears, but the same old rivalries remain. Through all the banter and relocation noise, Caleb Williams remains focused on one thing: letting his game do the talking.
