The Dallas Cowboys are going into the 2026 season expecting to turn their franchise around. Dallas is coming off back to back seven win seasons and have missed the playoffs in both seasons. For having one of the highest paid offenses in the NFL, fans are getting impatient with the back to back sub .500 years.
Wide receiver George Pickens has been one of the bright spots on that offense, however, his recent actions have enraged Cowboys fans. Here are the details.

George Pickens Enrages Cowboys Fans With Latest Response
The Dallas Cowboys have begun their off-season program, and with mandatory minicamp scheduled for next week, there is one question that remains unanswered.
George Pickens, who posted a career-best season and was named to the All-Pro team last year, is still debating whether or not to attend mandatory minicamp from June 16-18. Essentially, this relates to Pickens’ contract saga, as a long-awaited extension would resolve all problems. All of Cowboys nation would like that, howwever, Pickens’ past behavioral antics may have forced him into another “prove-it” season:
Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram caught up with Pickens at a youth camp in Corpus Christi. When asked if he would attend the mandatory minicamp, Pickens said “uhhhh” before a representative cut him off.
This has been a question for a while now, and it just so happens we’re inching closer to finding our answer. This doesn’t mean that Pickens won’t attend, but what he’s feeling here isn’t a surprise.
Pickens had a very different tone from his head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, who said earlier in the week that his conversations with Pickens had been positive and that he expected him to take part in minicamp.
As of now, Pickens will make a fully guaranteed $27.3 million on the franchise tag, but both sides have until July 15 to reach a multi-year deal. If no deal is reached, then Pickens will play on the tag this season.
