The NFL has made their decision on what Stefon Diggs’ punishment will be following his strangulation case. As a result of a pay dispute in December 2025, his former personal chef, Jamila “Mila” Adams, accused him of slapping her in the face and attempting to choke her at his home in Dedham, Massachusetts. The former New England Patriots wide receiver was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault.
Diggs was acquitted of all charges by a Massachusetts jury after approximately 90 minutes of deliberation following a brief trial in May 2026.

Stefon Diggs Learns What Punishment Will Be From The NFL
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL will not take action against Diggs under its personal conduct policy due to “insufficient evidence.” This provides some clarity for the 32-year-old pass catcher, who was released by the Patriots in early March.
While Diggs led the AFC champion Patriots in receiving last season, he appears to have completed what appears to be another one-and-done contract. Diggs was traded to Houston after four successful seasons in Buffalo. Following the Texans’ curious decision to remove three years from the wide receiver’s Bills-built contract, he suffered an ACL tear. In 2025, the Patriots signed Diggs, and he played a key role in helping Drake Maye achieve MVP runner-up status. This offseason, the Patriots acquired Romeo Doubs and AJ Brown.
Diggs is still looking for a new home in 2026.
