Brittany Mahomes’ 1-Word Reaction to Major Patrick Mahomes News

Brittany Mahomes kept it short and sweet following her husband Patrick Mahomes’ historic contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs and Mahomes agreed to a reworked extension through the 2033 season worth $504.75 million. It was the first NFL contract ever valued at more than half a billion dollars.

The deal adds two years to his existing contract and includes $239.05 million in new money.

Beginning in 2027, the contract averages $64 million per year, a new NFL record for average annual value. Mahomes can earn up to $522.25 million through incentives and escalators, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Brittany Mahomes Celebrates Patrick Mahomes’ Historic Deal

Mahomes took to Instagram to address the new deal as he enters his 10th season with Chiefs Kingdom.

He shared a carousel featuring images of his family, including wife Brittany and their three children, Sterling, Bronze and Golden. The post also included snaps of Mahomes hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

“CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!! We are here to stay!,” he captioned the post. “Love this place and the people that are a part of it and thank y’all for being there for me and my family everyday! We ain’t done yet tho!”

Brittany Mahomes reshared the post via Instagram Stories, adding a one-word reply that said everything.

“Blessed,” she wrote along with praise hands, folded hands and heart emojis.

The extension comes after a turbulent 2025 season for Mahomes. He suffered a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee against the Los Angeles Chargers, ending his year after 14 games.

Before going down, Mahomes threw for 3,984 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Kansas City finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs.

Reports indicate Mahomes is ahead of schedule in his recovery and is targeting a Week 1 return for the 2026 season.
