This week's Q&A focuses on transfers as Michael Carrick looks to build a Manchester United squad capable of challenging on multiple fronts.

Manchester United have all but wrapped up their first signing of the summer after agreeing a deal for Ederson, but they look set to miss out on their top target.
Manchester City's mammoth £120million bid for Elliot Anderson has priced United out of a deal and with the 23-year-old preferring a move to the Etihad, the club aren't currently considering him.
Instead, the focus is on Mateus Fernandes at West Ham, while Alex Scott and Carlos Baleba are also well-liked. With the World Cup under way, United are also working on deals in other areas of the squad.
We run weekly question and answer sessions, so click here to submit your questions, and we'll answer them next week. Here are the answers to some of this week's questions:
Will United get a back-up for Luke Shaw and are there any plans to get a left-winger and back-up striker for Benjamin Sesko?
At the moment, the focus is on a left-back rather than a left-winger. United like Lewis Hall and a deal could be done, with the ideal aim being to find a long-term successor to Shaw.
Patrick Dorgu is being considered more of a winger at the moment and I think that means it's unlikely a left-winger will join. There is interest in Morgan Rogers and Iliman Ndiaye, but the deal would have to work financially and it isn't a priority.
There is a plan to add another striker, especially if Joshua Zirkzee goes, but it's likely to be an experienced back-up rather than a big name.
Fighting with City for Anderson will make him more expensive. We should be aggressive in going for Tonali.
United have backed away from a deal for Anderson, and the links with Tonali have gone cold as well. I don't see the Italian being high on the agenda at the moment.
Newcastle have no need to sell, having banked £69million for Anthony Gordon, and I think United would rather push for left-back Hall than go for Tonali. There is absolutely zero chance they would get both.
What is the situation with Mateus Fernandes? Are we still in for him with West Ham asking exorbitant fees?
United are definitely still in for Fernandes and I wouldn't read too much into that asking price at the moment. It's still very early in the window and this is all part of the negotiation.
United won't pay £85million for Fernandes, but I'm sure West Ham know they won't get that fee either. I would think a compromise can be struck, especially if Fernandes makes it clear he wants to move to Old Trafford.
What is delaying us from signing further transfer targets? When we can expect the second midfield signing?
There is no delay. You always get this at the start of the summer and the modern game and noise around it demands signings at regular intervals, but the reality is the transfer window isn't even actually open yet. It only opens on Monday.
United are in a strong position. They have agreed a deal for Ederson and have a good idea of other midfield targets, so there is no reason to panic.
With Zirkzee planning to leave and us looking to add another striker behind Sesko, should we be considering Lewandowski for a short two-year deal?
I can't see this happening. United do want an experienced back-up for Sesko, but someone of a lower profile than Lewandowski, who would still command huge wages and is such a big name he would probably expect to start ahead of the Slovenian.
He's a great player and his record last season was still good, but at 37, there is no way he fits into United's structure or the style of play Michael Carrick wants.
What are the expectations under Michael Carrick for next season?
I don't think any expectations have been communicated yet, but Carrick wants progress and to see United get closer to Manchester City and Arsenal. The club will expect Champions League football again and, if things go well, a title challenge.
Carrick has signed a two-year deal and United have made it clear they want to win the title in that timeframe, so ultimately the expectations on the 44-year-old are that he will at least get close to achieving that.
