Marcus Rashford has been urged by Michael Owen to consider a move to Arsenal this summer.
The newly-crowned Premier League champions are preparing to enter the market for a prolific forward in hopes of replicating their success next season.

As a result, Rashford, valued at £35 million by Transfermarkt, has come up in conversations regarding Arsenal’s striker search.
The 28-year-old faces a pivotal summer transfer window in the coming months following confirmation that Barcelona would not be activating his £26m buy clause.

It comes after the Blaugrana agreed a whopping £70m fee with Newcastle United for Anthony Gordon, who poses as a like-for-like replacement for Rashford at Camp Nou.
There is still the opportunity for a new deal to be agreed between Barcelona and Manchester United. However, the latter are just ready to cash in and receive the full sum, which Barça are unwilling to pay, in order to reinvest the funds across the squad this summer.
Having missed out on Gordon themselves, it’s been reported that Bayern Munich are seriously considering a swoop for Rashford, who’s contracted to United until 2028.
However, he would have to take a pay cut on his lucrative £325,000-a-week wages to seal an Allianz Arena move.

What did Owen have to say about Rashford to Arsenal?
Owen, meanwhile, is of the belief that United’s former No.10 would be a near-perfect fit at the Emirates.
He said (via the Metro): “Arsenal are still sort of searching for a centre forward, so it gives you another option up there.
“Obviously, on the left-hand side, Trossard is a very good player and Martinelli’s a very good player, but they aren’t quite on Rashford’s level when he’s fit and firing.
“I can’t imagine Arsenal are going to be signing too many players. I expect them just to be quite opportunistic; maybe if a great centre forward comes along or an opportunity to get somebody, then they will act.”

“**But I don’t think it’s the worst shout, to be honest,” Owen continued. “I think Rashford’s first priority will be to stay at Barcelona, and I think his team will be working around the clock to try to sort that one out.
“But if that doesn’t work, then of course other teams come into the fray, and Arsenal could be a great option.”
