Massive boost:'All the conditions'for Liverpool to sign£100m winger are presenting themselves

**French newspaper [L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Mercato-bradley-barcola-ne-sera-pas-retenu-par-le-psg-contrairement-a-ousmane-dembele/1684064) reports that Bradley Barcola has still not renewed his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and doesn’t look likely to, opening the door to an exit this summer.**

Loic Tanzi, one of the most trusted journalists when it comes to French Football, writes: _“With two years remaining on his contract, Barcola has still not extended it and doesn’t seem likely to do so anytime soon._

_“PSG isn’t entirely opposed to his departure. The two-time European champions, however, are keen to extend the contract of their Ballon d’Or winner, Ousmane Dembélé.”_

Liverpool are scouring the market for an elite winger to join this summer as they contemplate a future without the mercurial Mohamed Salah, who has left the club as a free agent after nine years at Anfield.

Liverpool one of the most interested clubs as Barcola summer transfer appears likely

Tanzi continued discussing the potential for Barcola to leave PSG this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool heavily linked by the likes of Paul Joyce, David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano.

He writes: _“For several months, all parties involved have given the impression that Bradley Barcola is one of them. Despite having two years left on his contract, the player is not certain to remain at PSG next season. The Parisian management began discussions several months ago to try and make progress on an extension. However, these talks have stalled._

_“The Frenchman won’t force a confrontation with his club and wants to get a clearer picture, but nothing is expected to progress before the end of the World Cup. In any case, all the conditions for a departure will have to be right, which isn’t the case at the moment. But Paris has never made a habit of keeping a player who doesn’t want to extend his contract and who is entering the final two years.”_

Liverpool would be wise to sign Barcola, even if it means increasing competition for Rio Ngumoha. The 17-year-old is ready to play more often but as his young body continues to mature and develop, the risk of injury and overplaying remains.

Cody Gakpo has failed to evolve and is no longer considered as an ideal starter for Liverpool which may see him leave this summer.
