Sir David Beckham has been invested in projects across the world as he looks to build a legacy, both in football and out of football.

The 50-year-old, who was knighted last year in a recognition of his services to football and British society, has been focused on his contribution to this year’s Chelsea Flower Show with him even meeting with King Charles III to discuss the project.

Beckham’s focus on football has also remained, too, as he attempts to build success with Major League Soccer club Inter Miami.

Recent reports have suggested that the former Manchester United star wants to hire Pep Guardiola following the manager’s departure from Manchester City following a decade.

Now, as his operations in the United States of America continue, he has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I’ve experienced some amazing moments in my career,” he said.

Beckham continued: “But to be here in Los Angeles receiving a star on the world-famous Walk of Fame is truly incredible.

“I’ve always been a dreamer, but I could never have imagined that an honour like this would come to a working-class English soccer player like me. I grew up in the east end of London, a long way from Hollywood.

“As a young boy, I loved soccer more than anything and it was all I ever wanted to do. I always loved America, though, and its TV shows.

“Victoria [Beckham], my amazing wife of almost 30 years, without whom none of this would be possible or enjoyable, and my beautiful children, who are the reason that I get out of bed in the morning.”

Sir David Beckham was joined by his wife Victoria Beckham, other members of his family, and movie star Tom Cruise for the event.

With honours for him in both England and America, with his knighthood and the star, his legacy continues to take shape.
