Seven Georgia football players named in ESPN 2027 NFL Draft positional rankings

ESPN experts Matt Miller and Jordan Reid attempted to name the top five prospects at every position for the 2027 NFL Draft. Georgia had several players mentioned, beginning with running back. Junior Nate Frazier was named the No. 5 running back prospect according to Reid, behind Ole Miss's Kewan Lacy, Florida's Jadan Baugh, Missouri's Ahmad Hardy, and Louisville's Isaac Brown. Miller had those same four, with Texas's Raleek Brown at No. 5.

Frazier ended the 2025 season with 173 carries for 947 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also chipped in 16 receptions for 116 yards and another touchdown.

Georgia did not have a player listed at quarterback or wide receiver. At tight end, no one made the top five, but one Georgia player was discussed.

Player outside top five to watch:

Lawson Luckie, Georgia. Luckie has ascended to TE1 on Georgia's depth chart and is looking to build on the positive moments that he showed in 2025. The production has been limited thus far -- 15 catches for 158 yards and four touchdowns last season -- but he is expected to be a breakout player. His alignment versatility gives the Bulldogs' offense options, as he can be a pass-catching weapon while also being used as a serviceable in-line blocker. -- Reid

Luckie played in all 14 games for Georgia during the 2025 season, making seven starts, and led all tight ends with 24 catches for 348 yards and three touchdown catches.

Georgia did not have a player listed at offensive tackle or guard.

At center, Drew Bobo came in at No. 2 on Miller's top five, behind Oregon's Iapani Laloulu. Bobo came in at No. 3 for Reid, behind Iowa's Kade Pieper and Laloulu.

Bobo started the first 10 games at center for Georgia during the 2025 regular season, playing through a hand injury he suffered against Mississippi State before sitting out Georgia's Week 13 game against Charlotte. He suffered a foot injury in the first half of the game against Georgia Tech, briefly left the action, returned for the end of the second quarter, then did not play in the second half. Bobo appeared on the sidelines during the second half in street clothes and with a boot on his left foot. That injury knocked him out of the SEC Championship and College Football Playoff.

Georgia did not have a player listed at edge rusher or defensive tackle.

At linebacker, Raylen Wilson came in at No. 5 for Miller, behind Texas's Rasheem Biles, Clemson's Sammy Brown, and Notre Dame's Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa. Chris Cole came in at No. 5 for Reid, behind Brown, Biles, Viliamu-Asa, and Texas Tech's Ben Roberts. In his first season as a starter, Wilson had 74 tackles — third on the team, along with 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and 1 pass break-up. Cole was Georgia's most consistent pass rusher in 2025. He ended the season with 59 tackles, a team-high 4.5 sacks, and 2 pass break-ups. His 7 tackles for loss were the second-highest mark on the team behind CJ Allen (8.0).

At cornerback, Ellis Robinson came in at No. 3 for Miller, behind Notre Dame's Leonard Moore and Mississippi State's Kelley Jones. Robinson was No. 2 for Reid, behind Moore. Robinson is coming off being named the FWAA Freshman Defensive Player of the Year, the first Georgia player to win the Defensive Freshman of the Year award, which is in its third year. Robinson made 12 starts during the 2025 season, totaling 20 tackles, a shared tackle for loss, seven pass breakups, and a team-leading four interceptions, tied for the SEC lead.

At safety, Georgia's KJ Bolden came in at No. 2 for Miller, behind Oregon's Koi Perich, and No. 2 for Reid, behind Notre Dame's Tae Johnson. Bolden started all 14 games for Georgia in 2025, finishing second on the team with 76 tackles, along with 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, seven pass defenses, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick, earning SEC Coaches All-SEC Second Team honors.
