Tanner McKee's trade cost revealed for Eagles QB

Tanner McKee has shown just enough in his NFL career so far with the Philadelphia Eagles that he has become a trade candidate.

Whether Jalen Hurts' days in Philly are numbered or not, he's not losing his starting QB job that soon, and so the Philadelphia front office's tendency to make some deals could show itself with McKee.

Multiple outlets have speculated this offseason that McKee could be dealt. For the Eagles, it might come down to what they can get in return for him.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton took a shot at figuring that out in a new article, and his conclusion was that Philly would receive a 2027 sixth-round pick as the return value for McKee.

"Among the top backup quarterbacks, Tanner McKee has the fewest NFL starts (two)," Moton writes. "Yet the Philadelphia Eagles have a premium price on his trade value."

McKee is a tall, physically impressive quarterback who certainly looks the part.

The Eagles may not need him after trading for Andy Dalton and drafting Cole Payton.

"The Eagles have overpriced the demand for McKee, which may be why he's still on the roster after the club acquired 15th-year veteran Andy Dalton from the Carolina Panthers and drafted Cole Payton in the fifth round," Moton writes. "In six games, McKee has thrown for 597 yards, five touchdowns and an interception with a 61.4 percent completion rate. He has a decent but small sample size. Philadelphia will likely need to drop its asking price to make a deal."

Would the Eagles do it for Moton's projected sixth-round pick cost? It doesn't seem likely at the moment, but they also don't need a QB depth chart this crowded, so maybe it ends up happening.
