The Los Angeles Rams made an all-in trade for Myles Garrett on June 1, and now the pressure to win a Super Bowl is a lot higher.
The Rams' decision to acquire Garret signals a push to win it all this season. Not that they weren't already contenders, but they mortgaged their future to get Garrett while Matthew Stafford is still playing. Stafford just won the league MVP Award, but it's unclear how many years he has left playing at the level he's played at for the Rams.
The Rams clearly want to surround him with elite talent to ensure a Super Bowl, and adding Stefon Diggs could be a great move for them. The New England Patriots released Diggs earlier this offseason, and all legal issues surrounding him have been resolved. He was found not guilty of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery in court, and on Friday, the NFL concluded its investigation into Diggs, deeming there was not enough evidence to hold him in violation of the personal conduct policy.
Diggs no longer faces any kind of suspension and could join the Rams to create the best trio of receivers in the league. Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Diggs would be a nightmare for defenses, and the Rams have already shown some interest in adding a receiver this offseason.
The Rams reportedly tried to trade for A.J. Brown this offseason. Obviously, he ended up with the Patriots, but Diggs would be an elite pivot. He was a 1,000-yard receiver last season. If he were the Rams' No. 3 receiver, they would be in a very good spot.
