COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) -Former Hardaway High School standout, Georgia Bulldog, and current San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Mykel Williams returned Saturday to host his second annual youth football camp at Odis Spencer Stadium.
The camp welcomed athletes ages 13 to 17 from across the area, giving local players an opportunity to learn from one of football’s rising stars.
After being selected in the first round by the 49ers in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Columbus native said returning home and investing in the next generation remains a priority.
“I look at it the same, man. It’s me just doing an act of service,” Williams said. “It is cool just to be able to come back, period. To come back and give back to the community, man, it means the world. This is something I really aspire to do — come back and inspire the youth in my community and give back.”
