The summer transfer window continues to deliver major talking points, with one PSG star attracting growing attention from England despite his rising prominence on the global stage.
Bradley Barcola has spent the last twelve months evolving from a promising young wide player into one of the most feared attacking threats in European football, and the Premier League has taken extensive notice.
Arsenal and Liverpool have both been prominently linked with the 23-year-old Frenchman over recent weeks.
The timing makes sense for both clubs.
Arsenal, Premier League champions last season, are looking to add a dynamic wide presence capable of sustaining their title challenge while also performing at the highest level in Europe.
Liverpool’s interest is perhaps even more urgent — with Cody Gakpo reportedly having informed the club of his desire to leave, Mohamed Salah already gone, and Andoni Iraola building a high-pressing attacking system that requires elite wide players with speed, directness, and the ability to carry the ball in transition, Barcola fits the profile almost exactly.
His numbers from the 2024/25 season at PSG were striking — 22 goals and 17 assists across all competitions, helping the Parisians to their Champions League triumph.
This season has reinforced that form, with Barcola establishing himself as one of the first names on Luis Enrique’s teamsheet, operating primarily from the left flank with the freedom to cut inside and create as much as he finishes.
Premier League clubs have been concrete in their interest, not merely scouting, but actively exploring the viability of a deal.
And Paris Saint-Germain have now made their position absolutely clear.
According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg — one of the most reliable sources in European football transfer reporting — PSG’s internal decision is unambiguous.
Bradley Barcola is not for sale.
The club consider him untouchable.
There is no price tag attached to him, no figure that would open a conversation, and no indication that the stance will soften regardless of how significant the offers that arrive from England might be.
Plettenberg reports that PSG retain “strong belief in Barcola’s top qualities” — and crucially, that belief holds even with the intense competition for places within one of the most expensively assembled squads in world football.
For Arsenal and Liverpool, the message could not be more direct.
The door is not merely closed — it has not been opened at all.
Both clubs will now be forced to accelerate their searches elsewhere.
Liverpool’s wide player situation, in particular, is becoming increasingly pressing with each passing week.
Bayern Munich remain interested in Gakpo.
The summer fixtures announcement is three days away.
Iraola’s first squad needs to take shape.
Barcola may not be part of it.
PSG have made that abundantly plain.
🚨🆕 Internal decision from Paris Saint-Germain is very clear: Bradley Barcola is currently NOT for sale. Untouchable.
There is no price tag attached to him either, despite concrete interest from Premier League clubs.
