Former NFL Starting Quarterback Arrested On Disturbing Charges

Former NFL quarterback and receiver Terrelle Pryor’s name has recently been mentioned in connection with the Brendan Sorsby case. His name will now be mentioned for a different reason.

WPXI reported that Pryor was arrested last month for drug possession near Pittsburgh.

A police officer in Monroeville pulled over a Mercedes that was speeding on May 24 and observed Pryor lying in the back seat in an “odd” position and breathing heavily. In the back seat of the vehicle, there was a rifle lying on the floor.

The police noticed a baggie of a powdery substance when Pryor removed his wallet to show them his concealed carry permit.

In 2011, Pryor was selected in the third round of the supplemental draft by the Raiders. Pryor spent three seasons at quarterback for the Raiders. As a receiver for the Browns, Pryor returned to football in 2015 after being released by the Seahawks in late August of 2014. In 2018, he played for both the Jets and the Bills.

Pryor had 1,007 receiving yards on 77 catches in 2016.
