Man City have “recently inquired” about the availability of Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto, according to reports in the French media.
L’Equipe claims that the Blues could be open to selling the France international for the right price, having missed out on the Champions League.
Gusto would be reunited with former head coach Enzo Maresca if a move to the Etihad were to happen.

City and their London rivals are still negotiating over a compensation package for the Italian, but it seemingly hasn’t stopped the club enquiring about some of Maresca’s former players.
4 other Chelsea stars have been linked
The likes of Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer, Josh Acheampong and Marc Cucurella have all been mentioned as potential targets over the past month.
TalkSPORT has suggested that Palmer’s return to the blue half of Manchester is seen as a possibility, while journalist Ben Jacobs has said that City were one of the teams who registered their interest in Acheampong.
The defender struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge last season, but the London club are thought to be keen on keeping hold of the 20-year-old.
It has also been claimed that Maresca has spoken directly to Cucurella, but Atletico Madrid appear to be the favourites for his signature. The links to Fernandez have cooled as well, with the Cityzens having distanced themselves from making an approach for the Argentinian international.
Gusto is one of several right-backs who has been targeted
Atalanta’s Marco Palestra, Feyenoord’s Givairo Read, Sporting Lisbon’s Ivan Fresneda, Newcastle’s Tino Livramento and Roma’s Wesley are also believed to be on City’s radar.
Before the Gusto links, it seemed a move for Palestra was most likely, based on speculation coming out of Italy. The right-hand side of defence is a position that the club will be keen to strengthen ahead of next season.
