Signing undrafted free agents in the NFL is a tricky proposition. UDFA NFL contracts 2026 are the ticket for teams’ successes. Once the draft is over, teams can go and sign college players who were undrafted, and the enticement of money talks. NFL teams just spent $10.6 million on players not drafted. It is worth noting that even though undrafted free agents can sign a three-year contract for just over $3 million, very little of that contract is guaranteed. In fact, many players have nothing guaranteed or paltry amounts of five to twenty thousand dollars guaranteed.
Some teams, like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, invested a guaranteed $916,000 on just five players, while others, like the Miami Dolphins, spent $180,000 on just two players.
Utah edge rusher Logan Fano earned the most of all UDFA’s with a guaranteed $310,000 from the Cleveland Browns.
We take a look at how each team spent on free agents in the NFC North. Check out the first in our NFC series, the NFC East.
