Hugo Ekitike and Giovanni Leoni are among the Liverpool players to have shown their support for Stefan Bajcetic following the midfielder's latest fitness update. The Reds are currently making the most of their summer break ahead of the new Premier League campaign, which gets underway in August.
For some Liverpool players, however, attention turns to this summer's World Cup in North America, while others will be using their downtime to maintain their fitness levels before pre-season begins.
Bajcetic has spent the past 12 months working his way back to full fitness at Liverpool, with his most recent outing for the club coming in May 2024 during a 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The midfielder has since had loan stints at Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas, making 14 appearances for the Spanish side during the second half of the 2024/25 season, before going under the knife for a hamstring injury in May last year.
Liverpool has taken great care not to rush Bajcetic back into first-team contention, and the 21-year-old has now offered an encouraging update on his recovery, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Taking to Instagram, Bajcetic shared a series of photos and videos of himself undergoing individual training at the club's AXA Training Centre, sporting Liverpool training gear throughout. The young midfielder accompanied the post with the caption: "Back on track."

Among those who responded to Bajcetic's post were fellow Liverpool players Leoni and Ekitike, both of whom are themselves returning from lengthy injury absences.
Ekitike wrote: "Back soon brother keep going," while Leoni's comment featured a red love heart emoji and a bicep emoji.
Leoni is working his way back from an ACL injury sustained on his Liverpool debut in September last year, while Ekitike remains in the early stages of his rehabilitation from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
Jeremie Frimpong also chimed in on Bajcetic's post with the comment: "My boy," while Conor Bradley opted for a more light-hearted response. The Northern Ireland international wrote: "This explains your first trim in three months."

Liverpool is due to return for pre-season training next month under the guidance of new head coach Andoni Iraola, and it is yet to be determined whether Bajcetic will be included in the squad travelling to the United States for friendly fixtures against Wrexham, Sunderland and Leeds United.
