Arsenal target Ayyoub Bouaddi has opened up on his future following his stellar showing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 18-year-old earned the plaudits following his impressive performance for Morocco in their 1-1 draw against Brazil.
Bouaddi is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in world football having already made 96 senior appearances for Lille at the age of just 18. He has announced himself to the global audience in some fashion with a phenomenal showing in the middle of the park for Morocco against Brazil.
Bouaddi has attracted plenty of interest from top clubs around Europe, including Premier League champions Arsenal. The teenage prodigy has opened up on interest in his services but has insisted that he is fully focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the moment. He said, as quoted by David Ornstein on X:
“I’m really happy to know that some clubs are interested in me but for now I’m only focused on the WC and we will try to give everything to do our best."
Bouaddi played at the base of midfield for Morocco in their 2026 FIFA World Cup opener against Brazil. He attempted 66 passes and completed 60 with a 91% passing accuracy while also making five defensive contributions.
The Arsenal target had 87 touches of the ball and attempted five dribbles, completing three. The youngster came through Lille's esteemed youth ranks and was previously capped for France at youth level.

Arsenal superstar Bukayo Saka is reportedly facing a race against time to become fit for England's 2026 FIFA World Cup opener. Thomas Tuchel's side will take on Croatia in their first group stage game against Croatia at the Dallas Stadium in Arlington on Wednesday, June 17.
The 24-year-old came on from the bench in England's 3-0 win against Costa Rica in their latest friendly. He has reportedly been playing through the pain barrier and is being monitored daily.
Should Saka fail to make it to the starting XI against Croatia, his Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke would be expected to take his place. Over the years, Saka has been an integral member of the England side, having earned 49 caps till date and scoring 14 times. Saka was a key player for England in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2020 and 2024 UEFA European Championships.
