Odell Beckham Jr. update after signing with Giants reveals big question

Odell Beckham Jr. is back for a feel-good reunion with the New York Giants.

It'll only real be a good feeling if he makes the roster and contributes, though, and that's not a given.

OBJ got a chance recently to get out on the field with his teammates and make a good first impression, and that's exactly what he did.

Beckham did his part with a highlight play, which was described in a new article by ESPN's Jordan Raanan:

"It was Beckham who perhaps made the biggest impact at minicamp. He was wide open on a busted coverage Tuesday at practice and hauled in a deep pass from quarterback Jaxson Dart. He made a tough, contested catch 15 yards downfield on a pass from Dart later in practice."

Raanan then goes on to point out what everyone sort of knows: Beckham has to be healthy to have a chance to help Dart.

"The biggest question with Beckham, the former Pro Bowl receiver who starred for the Giants from 2014-17, isn't whether he can make plays -- it's whether he can stay healthy," Raanan writes. "He seemed to have gotten nicked up and limped around for a few seconds after multiple plays during the first two tough days of minicamp. As it turned out, he was fine, but it's something to keep an eye on going forward."

The Giants also brought aboard JuJu Smith-Schuster and Braxton Berrios recently, but it's OBJ that New York fans want to see shine brightly.

He won't be ahead of Malik Nabers or Darius Slayton on the depth chart, but if Beckham performs, he'll get a chance -- as long as injuries don't ruin his season.
