Manchester United have agreed a record-breaking deal with Amazon to throw open their doors for a behind-the-scenes documentary covering the club's 2026/27 season.

United will become the latest club to feature in Amazon Prime's All or Nothing series, and it's understood the deal eclipses the fee paid for the shows involving Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Old Trafford sources believe the deal is a record fee for any documentary covering a professional club and they will welcome the Amazon cameras in for the start of pre-season and they will follow the entire 2026/27 campaign.

United have been weighing up the merits of this kind of documentary for a number of years. They have held talks with numerous potential streaming partners and received a sizeable proposal during the tour of the United States in 2023.

But any decision to throw open the first-team environment and the dressing room to the cameras needed the support of those in charge as well. More detailed talks were held with Amazon and other potential partners last season, only for head coach Ruben Amorim to raise concerns about the timing.

Toby Craig, United's chief communications officer, said: "Now is the right time to open our doors, so that for the first time our fans around the world can see behind the scenes of a club which means so much to so many people.

"This documentary will showcase Manchester United’s unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington.

"We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League."

The decision to do a deal with Amazon is part of United's desire to become more open and transparent, while they also felt the platform's track record in the All or Nothing series made them an attractive partner.

“Manchester United is more than a football club: it is a global phenomenon. All or Nothing: Manchester United was a story we had to tell,” said Tara Erer, Head of UK Film and Unscripted Television and Northern European Originals.

“From Old Trafford to every corner of the world, there is no club that commands this level of passion, history and obsession. That is exactly the kind of story we want to tell, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to customers everywhere.”
