Arsenal want 'unbelievably fast' French winger & 19yo who just terrorised Hincapie

Arsenal want to sign a left winger this summer and the Gunners have been watching Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jean-Matteo Bahoya and RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, according to Sky Sports.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will look to strengthen his attack at the Emirates Stadium club to boost his chances of winning the Champions League next season.

Bahoya has been on the radar of the Gunners for a while, and a move to the Premier League could appeal to the ‘unbelievably fast’ French winger.

The 21-year-old bagged three goals and four assists in 27 Bundesliga games last term, and Arteta could do with his passing, dribbling, finishing and defensive contributions.

Bahoya can also play as a number 9, with his versatility a quality Arsenal also admire in their attacking targets.

Diomande is also a player Arteta would love, and Gunners faithful would love to see him playing for the North London club after his performance at the World Cup in the early hours of today.

The 19-year-old was a thorn in the flesh of Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie all game, helping Ivory Coast to a 1-0 victory over Ecuador.

4 – Piero Hincapié was dribbled past four times against Côte d'Ivoire, the most by a defender in a 2026 FIFA World Cup match so far.

Hincapié was only dribbled past 19 times in 39 appearances for Arsenal in 2025-26 (0.62 per 90).

Diomande easily got past the Gunners star, and he has what it takes to hit the ground running in the Premier League.

Arsenal need such a winger in their ranks but he has plenty of suitors and more will emerge if he keeps impressing at the World Cup.

Their scouts will also be running the rule over other wingers at the tournament, and new names could emerge as transfer targets for the North Londoners in the coming weeks.
