Arsenal considering move for Bundesliga speed demon

Arsenal want to strengthen the left wing in this summer’s transfer window.

The futures of left-wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard remain uncertain. One of them is expected to leave, allowing Arsenal to strengthen that position.

Manager Mikel Arteta admires Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, while Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola and RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande are also on Arsenal’s radar.

They are also considering a move for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis following his brilliant displays in the Belgian top flight last season.

Arsenal keeping tabs on Bundesliga speedster

Arsenal have set sights on Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, according to Sky Sports.

The North London side reportedly expressed interest in him before his move to Frankfurt in January 2024.

Bahoya is renowned for his pace. He reached a speed of 37.16 km/h in an attempt to link-up with Hugo Ekitike against Bochum in March 2025, becoming the fastest Bundesliga player on record.

The French forward possesses strong dribbling ability. He averaged 1.5 successful dribbles per game in the Bundesliga last term — a tally only bettered by six players.

Bahoya can produce decisive passes, picking out teammates in dangerous positions. He is also a good finisher, although he scored just four goals across all competitions last term.

He can operate anywhere across the frontline and can be deployed as an attacking midfielder, highlighting his versatility.

However, the France youth international has struggled for consistency. He started just 18 games across all competitions for Frankfurt last season.

Frankfurt are expected to demand a sizeable fee for him as he has three years left on his contract.

It remains unclear how much Arsenal would push to sign Bahoya, but we believe they are better served prioritising other targets.
