Dwight Yorke has held talks over becoming the next manager of a club searching for a new head coach.
The former Manchester United striker is continuing to attract interest after his latest spell in management.
Former Manchester United figures have been making headlines in the managerial market ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Recently, it was revealed that ex-United boss Ruben Amorim had agreed a two-year contract with AC Milan.
The Portuguese coach set to return to management after leaving Old Trafford earlier this year.
Now, Yorke could also be closing in on a fresh opportunity.
According to Sky Sports, the former United forward has spoken with Kaizer Chiefs about their vacant head coach position.
The club are also considering former assistant Fernando Da Cruz, who is currently regarded as the favourite for the role, although no appointment has yet been confirmed.
Dwight Yorke has been building his reputation as a coach since stepping into management four years ago.
His first role came with Australian side Macarthur Bulls, where he guided the club to Australia Cup success and secured the first major trophy in their history.
Most recently, he was in charge of Trinidad and Tobago.
Back in March, Trinidad and Tobago officially ended Yorke’s spell as head coach after the nation narrowly missed out on a World Cup play-off place.
Despite that setback, Sky Sports report that the former Manchester United striker was credited with improving standards within the national setup, raising player fitness levels and helping reconnect the team with supporters.
Yorke could also have another international option available.
The report adds that the Jamaica Football Federation are expected to approach him about becoming their next permanent manager.
Jamaica previously held discussions with Yorke before appointing Steve McClaren in 2024, but that move did not materialise.
With talks now underway and further interest expected, the former Manchester United forward could soon be preparing for the next chapter of his managerial career.
Sky Sports were the first to report that Kaizer Chiefs have held talks with Dwight Yorke over their vacant managerial position.
