Nick Pope has been touted as an ideal signing for Ipswich Town this summer amid the goalkeeper's uncertain Newcastle future.
The 34-year-old had a stop-start season last term due to a groin injury and being dropped for loanee Aaron Ramsdale.

He still featured 36 times for the Magpies in all competitions though, keeping 11 clean sheets and conceding 46 times altogether.
But in what was a difficult campaign for Eddie Howe's side, Pope came under criticism for some of his performances.
Fans have questioned whether he is still good enough to start in goal, with concerns over his quality with the ball at his feet.
Newcastle have already signed 20-year-old Ewen Jaouen this summer, but he's not expected to be a starter straight away.

However, they have also been interested in signing James Trafford from Manchester City too, with that interest clearly indicating that Pope may not be seen as No.1 for much longer.
That transfer talk has also led to eyes focusing on the England international, who may end up being pushed out the door after four years between the sticks at St. James' Park.
And newly-promoted Ipswich Town have been linked with him, as they look to bolster their goalkeeping department following promotion back to the Premier League last season.
talkSPORT Breakfast hosts Andy Goldstein and Gabby Agbonlahor were asked to rate the potential switch as part of their Transfer Tinder segment - and they both backed it.
"I like that move," Agbonlahor admitted. "He's just not good enough with his feet and the way big teams want to play.
Goldstein added: "He's a good goalkeeper. He's a big, big goalkeeper, a good presence, I like him a lot."

Who could replace Pope at Newcastle?
As things stand, Pope will still be No.1 next season, with loanee Ramsdale already returning to Southampton.
However, that may change should Newcastle end up acting on their strong interest in Man City goalkeeper Trafford.
The Magpies have long been looking at the 23-year-old, holding talks with his old club Burnley two years ago.
They couldn't get a deal done then, while last summer, Trafford rejected them to move to City instead in a late hijack.
But the Three Lions star, who is in North America with the England squad at the World Cup, appears to be looking for an exit.
Trafford has spoken openly about his disappointment following his transfer to Man City, as he joined expecting to be their No.1 goalkeeper before Gianluigi Donnarumma was also signed.

His frustration with only being No.2 at the Etihad may see him leave in the coming months, and he's hinted at a move that could help him become No.1 for his club and on the international stage.
Speaking from England's World Cup camp, Trafford admitted: "I think history says there hasn’t been a goalie to start for any of the top nations that isn't a No. 1 at the club.
"You never know, whether I move, whether I don't move, I do what's right for me and my career.
"Just because you play for a certain club doesn't mean that you automatically play for the national team, you have still got to show your level.

"You have still got to perform at the highest level, and when I did move [to Man City last summer], if I would have become England's No. 1 for the tournament, it would have been brilliant.
"I'd have been very happy, but obviously I didn't. They obviously ended up signing Gigi, and I didn't play the majority of the games, and that’s football."
