The Arsenal transfer news market is active again. The Gunners are seeking the services of Christos Tzolis. The Greek left winger might be the first major signing for the Gunners this summer.
Arsenal make move for Christos Tzolis
As reported by TEAMtalk, the Gunners have enquired about Tzolis. Journalists David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano have confirmed the news. Tzolis previously turned down an offer worth 40 million euros from Crystal Palace last year.
The North London club want a reliable left-wing attacker for the next season. That’s why they’re looking out for players like Tzolis. Additionally, they have applied for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
Tzolis is currently playing for the Belgian club Club Brugge. He joined the team in 2024. Previously, the 24-year-old played for the Norwich City between 2021 and 2024. In between, he was also loaned out to Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Tzolis’ stats for the 2025-26 season as per FOTMOB:
Competitions Matches Goals Assists
Belgian Pro League 36 17 23
UEFA Champions League 9 2 1
How can Tzolis’ potential entry benefit Arsenal?
Tzolis’ potential entry in Arsenal would be a bonus. With the lone exception of the FA Cup, the Gunners hit it out of the park wherever they participated in the 2025-26 season. The Gunners have won back the Premier League title after 22 years. They were runners-up in the EFL Cup. They also finished in second place in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.
However, for manager Mikel Arteta, this is not enough. He wants to maintain the dream run. For this, he needs better attackers as well as midfielders. That is the reason why Arsenal are undergoing a major overhaul. This is where the presence of Tzolis comes in handy. He can sharpen Arsenal’s attacking lineup with his brilliant skills at the forward line.
The Greek left winger performed well for Club Brugge in the 2025-26 season. He scored 17 goals in the Belgian Pro League for the 2025-26 season. This is why the Belgian club won the Belgian Pro League championship. They also won the Belgian Super Cup. Club Brugge also made it to the knockout round play-offs of the UEFA Champions League.
Future Gameplan for Christos Tzolis
Christos Tzolis has a promising future ahead. Since Greece couldn’t qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the left winger can focus on his future plans with Club Brugge. Greece finished third in their UEFA qualification group, behind Scotland and Denmark. Scotland secured direct qualification for the 2026 edition. They commenced their World Cup campaign on a positive note with a 1-0 victory over Haiti.
Tzolis has a contract with Club Brugge that will expire in 2029. However, the Greek footballer has neither confirmed nor denied his transfer plans, which is positive news for the Gunners. But before that, the Greek winger needs to address his discipline concerns. Tzolis was served six yellow cards in the 2025-26 Belgian Pro League. If he overcomes this, nothing is impossible to achieve for the Greek winger.
Meanwhile, Arsenal would want nothing better than a repeat performance of the 2025-26 season. Mikel Arteta is well aware about this. That’s why he’s working on a tactical evolution of the **football**squad. He has managed to retain players like Declan Rice in the squad. Likewise, if Christos Tzolis enters Arsenal, he has a promising future ahead. The Greek winger cannot afford to miss this chance.
