Club Have Set£60.5M Asking Price For“Outstanding Player”As Man Utd, City And Real Madrid All Circle

Borussia Dortmund won’t let Man Utd target Felix Nmecha leave the club for less than €70m (£60.5m), according to reports.

Sky Sports Germany claim that the midfielder is in high demand, with the Red Devils, Manchester City and Real Madrid all interested.

It is believed that the Spanish side have made a recent enquiry about Nmecha’s situation, but Dortmund are not interested in letting a key player leave for a low price.

The Bundesliga club are said to be in a comfortable financial position, and Nmecha is locked down to a four-year deal, which he signed back in March.

Nmecha has been praised by a Germany legend

Lothar Matthaus spoke out about the midfielder’s importance to Dortmund back in February. When assessing the German club’s midfield, he said that “Nmecha is the one” who makes the team function:

“For me, Nmecha is BVB’s outstanding player. You can see what incredible potential he has. Depending on who he plays with, whether it’s [Jobe] Bellingham or [Marcel] Sabitzer, Nmecha is the one who gives the team security.”

Man Utd are prioritising other targets

Nmecha’s high valuation is still lower than the Red Devils’ preferred option, West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes, but talks are progressing with the midfielder’s agent, Jorge Mendes, ahead of a formal bid.

The Hammers are still holding out for around £80m, but that is not a figure that Michael Carrick’s side are willing to pay. There is hope of negotiating down the price, but interest from Real Madrid, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain may yet complicate matters.

Fernandes is undoubtedly the focus of attention for now, but you can’t completely rule out a move being made for Nmecha if talks with West Ham do stall over the coming days and weeks.
