Ruben Amorim is clear on one thing: AC Milan need a striker, something which the club have believed for a long time.
For the fifth mercato in a row, Milan will look to sign a striker. It seemed likely under Massimiliano Allegri and the plans have not changed with the hiring of a new footballing team, led by Ruben Amorim and Markus Krösche.

Amorim’s demands
According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, via Calciomercato.com, the Portuguese coach wants a striker in the style of Viktor Gyokeres, whom he launched on the European stage. Something which aligns with the Rossoneri’s plans.
Approaching this summer, it was clear that a top No.9 was needed and all parties agree on this. After all, Manchester United saw what happened when using a profile too far away from Amorim’s ideal in Joshua Zirkzee.
As of right now, there are no concrete names, but Randal Kolo Muani – whom Krösche has a relationship with – is among them, as are Dusan Vlahovic and Goncalo Ramos. The Portuguese could be interesting with the club’s links to Jorge Mendes.
What is clear, though, is that he wants a striker like Gyokeres and that is not Santiago Gimenez, strengthening suggestions that he may leave.
