If we were to conduct a poll to find Liverpool’s No.1 cult hero, Divock Origi would be high among the favourites.
The Belgian striker earned legacy status during his seven years at Anfield – and a spot on the Liverpool’s Greatest list – by virtue of delivering so often in big moments.
Signed in 2014 from Lille, where he remained on loan for another season, he reached double figures for goals in each of his opening two campaigns but then endured a spell out of favour.
He would, however, return to write his name into history for the club.

There was his penchant for Merseyside derby goals, Origi getting on the scoresheet against Everton no fewer than six times across five different games.
One of those was a bizarre but brilliant 96th-minute winner in December 2018 that proved to also be a catalyst for a series of heroic contributions from Origi in the rest of the season.
On the famous night at Anfield when the Reds overturned a three-goal deficit and beat Barcelona 4-0 in the Champions League semi-finals, the No.27 provided the first and last strikes.
And then it was a clinical finish off his left foot in Madrid that sealed European Cup glory for Liverpool as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur to lift the trophy on June 1, 2019.
