The time of Andoni Iraola at Liverpool has started and is speeding up gradually. The club has initiated the process of reshaping its first team coaching department. After the appointment of the former Bournemouth boss, the Reds have communicated the exit of three important coaches. They were from the previous managerial setup.
Liverpool transform coaching staff according to Andoni Iraola
As reported by Goal, Liverpool have ensured that Sipke Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters and Giovanni van Bronckhorst have left the team’s backroom staff. They will depart after enjoying a successful tenure under previous Liverpool manager, Arne Slot. Their exit came after Liverpool parted their ways with Slot. This brought an end to the whole coaching group of the Dutch manager which helped the Reds to win their second Premier League title.
The decision to change the coaches indicates the start of a massive refurbishment at Liverpool. The club is aiming to set a completely new coaching system. Andoni Iraola’s football ideas are beginning to take shape ahead of the new season. His era is set to start very soon at Anfield.

Coaches receive appreciation from Liverpool before leaving
Sipke Hulshoff and Ruben Peeters arrived at Merseyside in 2024 along with Arne Slot. They joined the technical staff in that season and went on to win the long awaited Premier League title. They made a notable league debut with the Dutch coach and made the players deliver quality performance.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst was appointed as the assistant manager to Arne Slot last summer. He came with his valuable managerial experience and became an asset of Liverpool’s coaching group. Now he will also leave the Reds. As reported by talkSPORT, van Bronckhorst will join Feyenoord as their head coach. He will replace Man United and Premier League legend, Robin van Persie.
The **Reds**have thanked all the three coaches for their priceless contributions to the club. Liverpool’s official club statement confirms their departures. The statement says, “The three will now leave their posts following the announcement of Slot’s departure as head coach last month. Everybody at LFC thanks Sipke, Ruben and Gio for all their efforts and contributions to the club and wishes them the best for the future.”
Andoni Iraola starts to make his own supporting team
The exits of Hulshoff, Peeters and van Bronckhorst have created a void in Liverpool’s coaching infrastructure. This will allow Iraola to build his backroom staff with his own trusted people. The former Bournemouth manager will do everything to succeed at Merseyside.
As reported by Yahoo Sports, the Spanish coach plans to have a reunion with his previous colleagues. Several members from Bournemouth’s backroom staff will join the Reds to support Iraola. Assistant coach Tommy Elphick, set-piece coach Shaun Cooper, analyst Tom Webber and fitness coach Pablo de la Torre are the ones who are almost one step away from joining Liverpool from Bournemouth.
Iraola’s attempt to bring the coaches who he already knows will work in his favor. Working with familiar people will allow him to execute his ideas and techniques more easily. He will start his work from the pre-season in July. He will be joined by the players who have not participated in the World Cup.
