Several clubs are interested in signing Rogers but he has given his preference to Arsenal after being sold on the Mikel Arteta project.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both explored the possibility of signing the versatile forward.
However, both clubs now reportedly accept that Rogers has his heart set on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Rogers is currently in the United States participating in the World Cup and is expected to play a vital role for England under manager Thomas Tuchel.
Villa remain determined to maximise any potential sale and are expected to demand well in excess of £100 million.
The key question now is whether Arsenal are prepared to commit such a substantial amount to secure his signature.
Arteta is eager to strengthen the left side of his attack and views Rogers as his number one target.
The 23-year-old is a versatile forward. He is equally comfortable operating from the left flank or in a central attacking role behind the striker.
He enjoyed a sensational 2025-26 season, registering 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are both facing uncertain futures heading into the summer.
Rogers would be a serious upgrade on both players and is already a proven Premier League performer.
He could form a deadly attacking partnership with Viktor Gyokeres and Bukayo Saka.
If Arsenal successfully complete the deal, they will immediately strengthen their position as favourites to retain the Premier League title.
Attention would then likely shift towards signing a full-back and a midfielder, as Arteta wants his side to challenge not only for the Premier League crown but also for the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy.
