DCC star Faith Ward's life from single parent to making history
Netflix's popular documentary series America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders has officially made its return for the third season, featuring seven fresh episodes ready to stream.
The revealing programme from creator Greg Whiteley once more lifts the lid on another gruelling NFL season as 30 veterans and multiple rookie cheerleaders battle for merely six available positions on the team.
This series, the cheerleaders are under greater scrutiny than previously as the triumph of the Netflix programme means they have millions of viewers observing them from across the globe.
They must also demonstrate their value following a game-changing pay increase secured last season through the hard work of pivotal squad members including Megan McElaney and Jada McLean, reports the Mirror.
Nevertheless, we're also introduced to various fresh faces in the DCC world, including emerging fan-favourite Faith Ward. Let's examine her life beyond the squad.

Faith Ward is a 23-year-old cheerleader who was born in Wellington, New Zealand. She subsequently relocated to Australia at the age of 10.
Faith is understood to have been brought up by a devoted single mother, something she references in her TikTok content. Posting a clip of them embracing at an airport, she captioned: "My mom clapped so hard for me I didn't notice my father was never there. That sums up the kind of person she is."
She began her dancing journey at the tender age of two, as reported by TV Insider, and was competing by the time she was 10.
From there, Faith turned professional at 18, working for an Australian outfit known as Smash Dance Company. At 20, she started dancing on a major cruise line, a gig that lasted nearly a year according to her Instagram bio.

Faith was 22 when the third season of America's Sweethearts was filmed during the NFL's 2025-26 season, marking her out as the first New Zealander and fourth Australian to join the squad.
"So beyond grateful and blessed to turn my biggest dream into a reality," she penned in an Instagram post.
"This journey has been incredibly challenging, both physically and mentally, but I wouldn't change a thing! I've been pushed in ways I never imagined, I've learned and grown so much already.
"I'm excited to see where this wild ride takes me! I feel so privileged to stand alongside not only the most talented dancers but also some of the most amazing women I've ever met."

When she's not with the Dallas Cowboys, Faith also works as a content creator and makeup artist. She's earned the nickname 'Flexi Faith' on social media due to her remarkable flexibility.
Throughout the latest season of America's Sweetheart, fans will notice that she's the only cheerleader in the squad who sports her hair in a ponytail.
This came about following a chat with coach Kelli Finglass, who was struck by her similarity to pop sensation Ariana Grande.

Speaking on ABC Perth, Faith disclosed: "I'm in rehearsal one of the days with my hair out and I am, you know, sweating after doing Thunderstruck.
"She's looking at me and she's like, 'You know what? I really want to see what your hair would look like tied up'."
Faith was delighted to heed Kelli's guidance as she explained: "Your girl doesn't want to have her hair out, sweaty in her face, dancing."
Kelli also urged her to grow her hair longer and blonder and, by the time she was performing for DCC at matches in 2025, her signature ponytail style was firmly established.
