Bucs edge rusher Al-Quadin Muhammad.
Al-Quadin Muhammad has been around some good players in his eight-year NFL career. Cam Jordan and Aidan Hutchinson are a couple of the edge rushers he’s played alongside.
So it really got Joe’s ears perked up hearing AQM discuss Bucs’ first-round pick Rueben Bain. The way AQM described the Miami Mauler, the man was born to play top-shelf football.
> “He’s just a natural,” AQM said. “It’s like he’s been here before. Sometimes the rookies, there’s a lack of urgency.
>
> “I don’t see that with him. He picked things up pretty well. He’s out there having fun. He’s not nervous, he’s just playing football.
>
> “It’s impressive. It’s impressive to see.”
It almost sounds from AQM’s words that Bain doesn’t need a whole lot of coaching. Joe thinks that could be attributed to his position coach at Miami, Jason Taylor. Bain was well-schooled about the pro game from a former great pro himself.
Joe hopes that pays off come September.
