Patrick Mahomes Reacts To Lionel Messi’s Hat-Trick
Lionel Messi went viral on Tuesday for completing a hat-trick against Algeria in the FIFA World Cup 2026. The Argentinian forward led his national team to a 3-0 victory, scoring in the 17th, 60th and 76th minutes.

Messi made history with his first World Cup hat-trick. His three-goal performance pushed his total to 16 career tournament goals, tying him with Germany’s Miroslav Klose as the all-time leading scorer in men’s World Cup history.
Meanwhile, Mahomes completed 315-of-502 passes for 3,587 yards, 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 2025. He added 64 rushing attempts for 422 yards and five scores. While his numbers were decent, the Chiefs struggled on both sides of the football. They finished with a 6-11 record and failed to reach the playoffs.
