Mason Greenwood has reportedly agreed a permanent move to Roma. The former Manchester United winger, 24, netted 26 goals and managed 11 assists in 45 outings for Marseille this season.
With the French club in turmoil and having fallen short of European qualification, Greenwood is eager to make the move to Serie A this summer.
Italian publication Corriere dello Sport claims personal terms have already been agreed between Roma and the player, who is expected to play under Gian Piero Gasperini next season. The Englishman has been identified by Roma as a priority signing heading into the upcoming campaign.
Greenwood's salary will reportedly begin at £3.9million per year, plus bonuses, rising each season. Some of his bonus incentives are said to be well within reach, with the forward expected to hit a number of performance-related targets.
His former club, United, would pocket 40 per cent of the profit of the transfer fee should the deal go through. This stems from the substantial sell-on clause they negotiated during his £26m move to Marseille back in 2024.
However, the Greenwood deal isn't the only piece of Roma's business that would have consequences at Old Trafford. The Italian club are also looking to bolster their left wing and are said to be pursuing Crysencio Summerville.
The West Ham star has caught the eye of numerous clubs, including United, following his recent outstanding performances. The Hammers' relegation means Summerville, who is currently representing the Netherlands at the World Cup, could be available for a fee around £50m.

Roma's interest may prove an unwelcome complication in United's pursuit of the 24-year-old, acting as a factor in driving his value up, along with his World Cup displays.
The Athletic reports that United are among several clubs keeping tabs on Summerville, having already made an opening enquiry to West Ham about his situation. Summerville, who is under contract until June 2029, is one of West Ham's most saleable assets following their relegation and could therefore be sold.
His versatility has seen him emerge as an attractive option for United should they move for a winger this summer, although bolstering the midfield will remain the club's main focus. Fellow Irons star Mateus Fernandes remains another primary target.
