The Green Bay Packers have took a harsh, public, and firm stance against GOP Republican Scott Fitzgerald. The statement came late Tuesday evening and has caught the attention of analysts and fans across the league. It was directed directly at Fitzgerald.

Scott Fitzgerald Destroyed By The Green Bay Packers
A few days after GOP Rep. Scott Fitzgerald appeared on “UPFRONT” and dismissed concerns raised by the Packers regarding any changes to the league’s shared revenue model, the Green Bay Packers responded with a statement calling Fitzgerald’s remarks absolutely ridiculous and almost laughable.” Here is what was said:
“Fans should be offended that Fitzgerald then went further, saying our concerns were ‘laughable,'” a statement from the Packers said. “What is laughable is that a congressman from Wisconsin is leading this charge. Why threaten the team his community overwhelmingly cherishes and its ability to compete on a level playing field?”
The National Football League was allowed to negotiate national broadcast deals collectively in 1961 and then distribute the revenues equally among all 32 teams. This has been under the 1961 Sports Broadcasting Act. Fitzgerald presided over a hearing on this issue last week before the House Judiciary subcommittee on sports:
“I think we could make the case probably that they’re in violation of that at this point,” Fitzgerald said, adding he doesn’t want to fully eliminate the SBA but is proposing potential changes down the road.
Here is a look at the video:
“That’s absolutely ridiculous and almost laughable …that is absolutely the Packers going for kind of hair on fire, oh my gosh, the world’s coming to an end.”

Here is more of Green Bay’s response:
“The tremendously successful model of pooling media rights and sharing revenue equally amongst teams has allowed the Packers to survive and thrive in the smallest media market in professional sports,” the Packers said Tuesday.
“This model is as foundational to the Packers’ existence as the very bricks in Lambeau Field. It is careless and unwise to rearrange the bricks of a foundation which has stood strong for over half a century.”
