Liverpool are expected to be active behind the scenes during the summer transfer window, with Jeremy Jacquet already secured months ago, though he is unlikely to be the only addition.

Andoni Iraola’s first priority could be identifying a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who has confirmed he will be leaving and will be difficult to replace.

One player who could step into that role is Yan Diomande. The Ivorian winger impressed in his country’s World Cup opener and is attracting interest, although RB Leipzig are expected to demand a significant fee.

Midfield reinforcements are also being considered, regardless of Curtis Jones’ future, while Liverpool have reportedly been monitoring Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic.

The 19-year-old has impressed on loan at Hamburg, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most promising young centre-backs.

According to talkSPORT, Vuskovic wants to leave Tottenham permanently this summer. The Croatian is unhappy with the prospect of further loan spells and limited first-team opportunities following the arrival of Marcos Senesi and the expected signing of Jan Paul van Hecke.

Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Brighton centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke for £52m, just days after seeing a £35m bid for Luka Vuskovic rejected.

Vuskovic has yet to make a competitive appearance for Spurs, and the club blocked Brighton’s approach for the defender. The move has frustrated Vuskovic, who is now pushing for an exit in search of regular first-team football.

Tottenham value Luka Vuskovic at around £60m. He has attracted major interest after an impressive loan spell at Hamburg during the 2025/26 season, where he scored six goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.

Alongside Brighton, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Juventus are also said to be tracking the highly rated Croatian defender. Spurs agreed a £12m deal with Hajduk Split in 2023 but had to wait before integrating him into their squad due to EU regulations.

His only Spurs appearance so far came in a pre-season friendly against Reading, where he scored and assisted within eight minutes.
