The NFL has learned of a tragic passing that took place at a training camp as teams prepare for the upcoming season. Reports have surfaced that one person is dead and an investigation is underway by local police.

NFL Learns Of Tragic Death An NFL Training Camp
On Monday evening, a construction worker lost his life at the Denver Broncos‘ new training facility site. A deputy from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical emergency call at 8:20 pm. A coworker discovered the man unresponsive in a confined ceiling space.
It was not long before South Metro Fire Rescue crews arrived. Even with the use of specialized tools, the workers were unable to revive the worker. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel. A coroner’s investigation into the cause and manner of death will now be conducted by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
A statement was released by the Denver Broncos shortly after the news broke:
“The Denver Broncos are heartbroken to learn a subcontractor working on our new training center passed away Monday while on-site. We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the individual’s family, coworkers and friends during this difficult time.”
According to authorities, the name of the worker has not yet been released pending notification of the employee’s family. An update will be provided as the coroner’s investigation progresses. It is in the interests of both the Denver Broncos and Turner Construction to provide support to those affected by this tragic event.
