Talk about a dramatic start to the summer 2026 transfer window.
With the eyes of the world focused on England’s 4-2 win over Croatia at the FIFA World Cup 2026, Liverpool have quietly done what they do best and bring in a player that nobody saw coming.
While all the gossip columns were linking The Reds to the likes of Yan Diomande, it appears that the Liverpool hierarchy were carefully working on another deal that went seemingly under the radar.
Victor Munoz is set to join Liverpool.

He reports that Liverpool are set to pay €40m to Osasuna with €20m of that going to Real Madrid.
Reason for that is that Osasuna only brought 50% of the players rights when they signed him in 2025 for roughly €5m.
And Romano further reports that Victor Munoz will be signing a contract that will keep him at Anfield until June 2032.
That means it’s going to be a 6 year contract for the Spanish international.
22-year-old Munoz will be looking to make a big impression when he comes to England.
With Mohamed Salah leaving the club on a free, there are going to be big shoes to fill in the Liverpool forward line.
Victor Munoz has played his entire career in Spain and will have to adjust to the rigours of English football.
But the youngster has come on leaps and bounds in the past couple of years and will surely see the move as another chance to show the world what he’s capable of.
One thing is for sure – his life has changed completely and he’ll be chomping at the bit to show English fans what he’s capable if and when he gets on the pitch during the FIFA World Cup.
