SAWYER HELPING HS PLAYERS
Several members of the Steelers’ 2025 draft class contributed as rookies. That includes Jack Sawyer, who was the team’s fourth-round draft pick. He appeared in all 17 games with one start, posting one sack, three tackles-for-loss, and two interceptions. While T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, and Nick Herbig have gotten a lot of buzz, Sawyer shouldn’t be forgotten about.
Sawyer is hard at work trying to step up his game, too. Many players tend to use this time of year to relax. However, Sawyer is still getting work in. Go Green Football shared on Twitter that Sawyer was recently working out with the Newark Catholic High School football team. It’s in the Columbus area in Ohio, so it’s around where Sawyer went to high school and college. Sawyer’s getting work in where he can.
On Monday, our players had the opportunity to learn from one of the best, as Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker/DE, Jack Sawyer joined us for summer workouts.

URLACHER PRAISES RODGERS
Aaron Rodgers has returned to the Steelers for the 2026 season, and he plans on retiring once the year is over. He’s had a legendary career, and he’ll easily make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day. However, Rodgers wants to add a little more to his legacy before he calls it a career.
Rodgers used to be so good that he even gave future Hall of Famers problems. Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher is in the Hall of Fame, and he recently said on the This is Football podcast that Rodgers was the one quarterback who kept him up at night. Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers often got the best of Urlacher’s Bears, so that’s not surprising to hear.
BRADSHAW NOT PLANNING TO RETIRE
Few players impacted the Steelers as much as Terry Bradshaw did. He helped the team win four Super Bowls and was named MVP of two of those championship games. Also, he’s the team’s only regular-season MVP. His legacy is cemented in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, Bradshaw has done a lot since ending his playing career, including working on television.
While Bradshaw is 77 years old, he doesn’t plan on retiring from work. NBC Sports shared in an article that Bradshaw doesn’t want to retire. Even if he eventually parts ways with FOX, he’s still got other business ventures that he’s not going to quit.
