Antonio Rudiger has called Nathaniel Brown a 'monster' ahead of the Germany international's prospective £48million transfer to Bayern Munich. Manchester United have scouted the Eintracht Frankfurt full-back, but he is understood to have agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga champions.
Brown, 23, is currently playing alongside Rudiger, for Germany at the World Cup. The former assisted Nico Schlotterbeck from a corner on what proved to be the winner against Curacao before scoring their fifth goal in the 7-1 win.
He is now up to 12 goal contributions for club and country this season. Rudiger acknowledges being positively surprised by Brown.
Asked about his team-mate, the former Chelsea defender said: "I don't need to say much about him, I'm positively surprised. I saw how he shut down (Antonie) Semenyo in March." Rudiger refers to Germany's friendly against Ghana earlier this year, when Brown faced the Manchester City forward during their 2-1 win.
The central defender added that Brown is a "very calm character off the pitch, but on the pitch, he's a monster. These young lads are already very far ahead for their age."
Rudiger is not alone in being impressed by the full-back. Barcelona and Real Madrid are credited with an interest in Brown.

Liverpool are also said to have scouted him, as United did. But it is Bayern whom he is reportedly on the verge of signing for.
Brown has reportedly verbally agreed on a five-year contract after positive talks with the club's head coach, Vincent Kompany. Bayern and Eintracht continue to negotiate a £48million deal, with Sky Germany reporting that an agreement is close.
United will therefore have to turn their attention to alternative options if one is reached, and Lewis Hall is said to be someone they are keen on. Patrick Dorgu playing more as a winger next season would leave Luke Shaw as their only left-back.
That is why United are prioritising signing a player in that position this summer. Newcastle United, however, have already sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona this summer.
Therefore, they do not necessarily need to cash in on Hall after that £69million deal went through. Sandro Tonali is also linked with a move away after the club failed to qualify for any UEFA competition last season, further complicating matters.
