Manchester United are said to be considering a swoop for out-of-contract Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow. Reports suggest the Old Trafford outfit are keen to snap up the homegrown shot-stopper and tempt him across the Pennines.
The Athletic have claimed that Michael Carrick's side view Darlow as a potential target, with the 35-year-old being discussed by officials at Old Trafford. The experienced keeper will end his Elland Road spell, concluding a three-year period during which he featured 38 times.
United are anticipated to pursue a new backup goalkeeper to Belgian Senne Lammens, with Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana both struggling for consistency between the posts. Leeds released their retained list earlier this month and the Wales international was said to still be in discussion with the club over an extension.

The Athletic has claimed that change could be afoot in the United goalkeeping departure with Onana's future appearing to be set elsewhere.
While Bayindir has been mooted with a return to Turkey, Radek Viteek scooped up a host of awards while on loan with Bristol City but the 'expectation' is that he will leave on a temporary basis or permanently.
Darlow usurped Lucas Perri to become Leeds number one in the latter stages of last season as Leeds secured safety and the goalkeeper being out of contract poses a cheap option.
However, from Daniel Farke's viewpoint, losing Darlow would be a blow, as Leeds are understood to wish to retain the goalkeeper, though doubts remain about guarantees of regular starts.
Lammens has been a brilliant piece of business from the transfer team at Old Trafford as he provided much-needed stability during a period of uncertainty in the defensive department.
United may need to convince Darlow over a move, in case his ambitions remain in order to preserve his position in the Wales senior squad.
The 35-year-old has earned 15 caps and has been a regular starter under Craig Bellamy, but he will need clarity about his standing within the side should he commit to fresh terms.
Leeds are said to be in talks with both out-of-contract goalkeepers Alex Cairns and Darlow over an extension.
However, The Athletic has indicated there is a chance the club will venture into the market for a new goalkeeper. They add that the 35-year-old may seek a first-team role next season, which could eliminate the prospect of a move to Manchester United. But much like Leeds, United are also set to undergo something of an overhaul between the sticks.
With Illian Meslier having departed the club, the goalkeeping options are thin on the ground, with Perri among the few remaining candidates to fill the void at Elland Road.
