The club have signed three new players since the window officially opened on Monday.
Albion’s busy start to the transfer window has continued after they completed the signing of forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan from Chelsea.
The 20-year-old’s arrival comes a day after the Baggies sealed a £1.3million deal for Falkirk striker Barney Stewart, while teenage defender Carter Pinnington has also joined from Liverpool.
Morgan, who can play as both a striker and attacking midfielder, has agreed a four-year contract at The Hawthorns in a deal worth an initial £1.3m.
A product of Southampton’s academy before moving to Chelsea, he scored 14 goals while on loan at Peterborough in League One last season.
“I’m buzzing to be here,” said Morgan. “I’m really excited and it was an easy choice.
“I heard of Albion’s interest about two weeks ago. The club moved things on and we managed to get it all agreed pretty quickly.
“My conversation with the manager was good. He told me about the style of football he wants to play and how I’m going to fit into that.
“He also spoke about the work he wants to do with me to help bring out my best attributes.
“I’ve heard nothing but positive things so far and I understand how big the club is. The size of the club is one of the main reasons why I wanted to join.
“I feel very happy. I want to help the club finish in a much higher position than last year, and, individually, I want to play as much as I can, learn as much as I can and, hopefully, score plenty of goals.”
Morgan’s signing came a few hours after the club also confirmed the arrival of Pinnington.
The 19-year-old defender, who also has experience of playing in midfield, will initially link-up with the club’s under-21s after agreeing a three-year contract.
Albion are continuing to take a proactive approach to their transfer business, in what is the first window since the 2024 takeover by Bilkul Group in which the primary focus has not been on slashing costs.
The Baggies are still waiting to learn whether Karlan Grant or Josh Maja will accept new contract offers, with the existing deals of both due to expire at the end of the month.
Clarity is also expected over the make-up of James Morrison’s backroom team, following talks with Celtic coach Gavin Strachan in recent weeks.
