Victor Munoz‘s signature is imminent but attention has already turned to who will be next, with three more wingers linked to Liverpool.
The business won’t end with Victor Munoz
Munoz is costing Liverpool £34.5 million, but the signing of Spain’s young winger is only the start of Liverpool’s attacking transfer business this summer.
Liverpool are still pursuing RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, though they face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, and there are three other names of interest.
“Optimism remains on Yan Diomande, but due to competition with PSG and Leipzig’s asking price, there are other targets,” reporter Ben Jacobs wrote on X.
“Also on the list are Koln’s Said El Mala, Brighton‘s Yankuba Minteh and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo.”

Minteh’s exploits at Brighton and Newcastle will be known to Premier League watchers, but the talents of El Mala and Fernandez-Pardo may be relatively unknown.
El Mala is just 19 years old and spent the majority of this season playing on the left in the Bundesliga, scoring 13 goals in the process.
Fernandez-Pardo, who is 21 years old, played a variety of positions across the front three for Lille, earning him a call-up for Belgium at the World Cup.
He came on for the final four minutes of their Group G opener against Egypt that finished 1-1.

The debate over club vs. country seems to spring up during every tournament. However, for many on Merseyside, it is not even a debate. Adam Beattie writes about his personal apathy towards England:
“While some will rightly point out that outright booing of the national anthem at Wembley is a relatively modern phenomenon, dissenting voices have in fact been there for decades.
“You could rewind as far back as the 1950 FA Cup Final and hear a defiant, antithetical rendition of ‘God Save Our Team’ emanating over the top from the Liverpool end – a pointed, disapproving nod to the ruling class long before modern context.
“Audible heckling began after the new home of English football was built in 2007, but to dismiss it as something that has just become trendy to do is an ignorant stance to take.”
