Barcelona have decided against triggering forward Marcus Rashford’s €30 million purchase option.
However, the Spanish giants remain optimistic of securing a deal for the England international for a lower fee.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have also been linked with Rashford, but they have other priority targets.
Journalist Ben Jacobs now claims that Saudi Pro-League clubs have expressed their interest in Rashford.
He told [The United Stand](http://youtube.com/live/Gdh8vENgf6M?si=e1bsr1zsSYVs2lJh ?): “There are two Saudi Pro League clubs – Al Qadsiah and newly-promoted Al-Diraiyah – who have made approaches for Marcus Rashford, but at this stage it’s unclear if he’s remotely open to a move there.
“Al-Hilal also need to strengthen out wide, and a move for a big-name foreign player is expected.”
Jacobs also reports that United expect the English forward to leave, although manager Michael Carrick is reportedly open to reintegrating him into the squad.
Rashford’s departure would significantly reduce the Red Devils’ wage bill, potentially allowing them to sign a left-winger.
West Ham United’s Crysencio Summerville, Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo are the targets being lined up to replace him.
Described as ‘unbelievable‘ by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, Rashford is prioritising a return to the Catalonia-based side.
The 28-year-old enjoyed a brilliant loan term with the Blaugrana, helping them retain the La Liga title. He scored eight goals and provided nine assists in 32 games in the competition.
Rashford seems unbothered by the uncertainty surrounding his future. He scored a brilliant goal in England’s 4-2 win over Croatia in their World Cup opener on Wednesday.
The United academy graduate will now be hoping to start the Three Lions’ clash against Ghana at Boston Stadium next Tuesday.
