West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Chelsea striker Jimmy-Jay Morgan.

The 20-year-old, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has been on the club's radar for a few weeks and agreed a four-year contract at The Hawthorns.

He moves for a fee believed to be around £4m, including a substantial sell-on clause.

Morgan spent last season on loan in League One with Peterbrough United and scored 14 times in 39 appearances for Posh in all competitions.

The England youth international began his career with Southampton before moving to Chelsea in August 2023.

He played six times and scored once for Blues' under-21 side before spending the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Gillingham.

"I heard of Albion's interest about two weeks ago. The club moved things on and we managed to get it all agreed pretty quickly," Morgan told the Albion website.

"My conversation with the manager [James Morrison] was good. He told me about the style of football he wants to play and how I'm going to fit into that.

"He also spoke about the work he wants to do with me to help bring out my best attributes. I've heard nothing but positive things so far and I understand how big the club is."

Morgan is the Baggies' first major signing of the summer following the arrival of teenage Liverpool defender Carter Pinnington, who goes into the club's under-21 set-up.
