The future of Marcus Rashford remains one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window.

Interest from the Saudi Pro League has now been revealed.

The England international spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona.

However, after a number of deadlines passed without a permanent agreement being reached, he will be returning to Old Trafford ahead of next season.

Manchester United have also reportedly increased Rashford’s asking price from £26 million to around £40 million as they assess their options for the forward.

The 28-year-old’s stock received another boost this week.

He scored in England’s 4-2 victory over Croatia in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup.

While several European clubs continue to monitor the situation, attention is also building from the Middle East.

Speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, transfer expert Ben Jacobs revealed that at least three Saudi Arabian clubs have already made contact regarding Marcus Rashford.

Jacobs explained that one of the interested sides is looking to strengthen its attacking options and has the financial flexibility to fund major deals independently of traditional ministry backing.

A second club is currently restructuring under new ownership after reviewing its sporting department but has previously explored a move for Rashford.

Meanwhile, a newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side is preparing an ambitious recruitment drive after securing promotion and is reportedly keen to make a statement signing.

Jacobs later named the three clubs as Al-Qadsiah, Al-Hilal and Al-Diriyah.

Discussing Al-Qadsiah, he said: “They’re owned by Aramco. They’re managed by Brendan Rogers. They can spend their own money.”

On Al-Hilal, Jacobs explained that the club are reassessing their new sporting structure under new ownership but have looked at Rashford before.

He also described Al-Diriyah as a “fascinating project”, highlighting their significant backing and the arrival of former Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman.

Summarising the situation, Jacobs concluded: “There’s three Saudi clubs minimum that I’m aware of that have made some sort of formative approach to Marcus Rashford.”
