Yan Diomande has emerged as Liverpool’s top transfer target, with a major update surrounding their pursuit of the RB Leipzig forward.

RB Leipzig have rejected a €100m bid from Liverpool for Diomande, according to Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze. Any potential offer would need to exceed €100m, with RB Leipzig determined to set a very high asking price for Diomande.

The Bundesliga club are also planning to offer the 19-year-old an improved contract, including a significant salary increase, as they look to secure his long-term future.

Hinze posted on X: “Liverpool have made their first offer for Yan Diomande. The bid is close to €100m, including bonuses.

“The offer is worth approximately €90m plus €10m in add-ons. Leipzig have yet to respond, but they are expected to reject it. The offer is definitely not sufficient. They want to keep the Ivorian for at least one more season.

“Any acceptable offer would have to be well above €100 million. Leipzig also intend to improve Diomande’s contract with a salary increase.”
